Nourished

As the director of 'Nourished', I sought to explore the question: "Could the key to fertility and healthy pregnancies be hidden in our past?" This query is pertinent to many women today who, despite following mainstream advice, struggle with infertility and challenging pregnancies. My goal was to shed light on the mothers and medical specialists who have opted for traditional animal foods known to support mother and child, over prenatal vitamins. I was intrigued by the idea that traditional societies, despite not knowing the vitamins contained in these foods, valued their importance in diet for fertility and child development. Pivotal to my direction was the alarming statistic that 1 in 5 couples are unable to conceive, and the numerous women struggling to achieve a healthy pregnancy. The most "awe-inspiring moment" of the film was the placenta comparison shot! I decided to kick off the film with a teaser of this shot. We had the incredible opportunity to compare two placentas from different diets during pregnancy, and the difference was astonishing! Creating this was an absolute thrill, and I'm overflowing with gratitude for everyone who lent a hand on this project!
